SCSW and NCSW Strengthen Coordination to Combat Gender-Based Violence

During the meeting, Adv. Rubina Aman Brohi presented a comparative analysis of the Federal and Provincial Commission Acts, highlighting key areas for strengthening institutional coordination and legislative alignment. Ms. Noureen Bano Lehri appreciated the efforts of SCSW in preparing this important analysis and welcomed its contribution towards informed policy dialogue.

Both Commissions reaffirmed their commitment to advancing women's rights through stronger collaboration, policy advocacy, legislative harmonization, data sharing, and improved implementation of pro-women laws. The meeting concluded with an agreement to establish a formal coordination mechanism and develop a joint action plan to promote the safety, dignity, and empowerment of women across Pakistan.
